Bridges of Words presents haiku inspired by scenes, sounds, and cultural practices from 57 countries. Literary Titan described the book as “a journey stitched together in three short lines at a time. Esperanza Pretila gathers scenes, scents, and sounds from across the globe, distilling them into haiku that act as tiny postcards of the human spirit.” The review notes that the collection captures the mood of places “without overexplaining” and balances intimacy with universality.
The collection spans 132 pages in its Kindle edition and has received multiple 5.0 ratings from both Amazon and Goodreads. According to product details, the haiku invite readers to consider diverse cultural perspectives: “What do the monsoon whispers of India, the sunlit resilience of Australia, the soulful serenades of Mexico, the cordial rhythm of the Philippines, and the vast echoes of the United States have in common? Seventeen syllables.”
